Our History

Chance & Hunt's roots date back to the 1835 glassmaking industry in the Midlands. It became Chance & Hunt Limited in 1898, manufacturing commodity chemicals at Oldbury and Wednesbury and was incorporated as part of ICI in 1926.

The company has been located in Runcorn, Cheshire since 1975 at the heart of the Northwest's motorway network.

In April 1999, it became Chance & Hunt Limited again as a result of fully funded MBO and in July 2002 joined the pan-European Azelis group of companies.
